"Joining Salma gave me a boost of confidence I did not expect - here, teaching is not just a job, it is a joyful journey."
Tarannum was born in Sardhana, Meerut, into an educated family - her mother spent most of her life as a teacher, and her father served as an election commissioner. She studied from Class 1 through her graduation at Sant Joseph Girls College Sardhana, then completed her M.A. in Political Science from R.G. College Meerut.
She married in 2022 and moved to Rataul, joining Salma Public School in 2023 as a Class 5 teacher. She had heard much about Zahoor Sir before joining - his name, she writes, is still among the most respected in Rataul. After his passing, Nishat Ma'am carried the school forward, and today Sheeba Ma'am runs it with great dedication.
Tarannum is struck by the school's atmosphere: no competition, no jealousy - only teamwork. Senior teachers guide newer ones with patience and warmth. She is hardworking, a fast learner, and determined not to repeat her mistakes. She loves reading, travelling and dancing.
