Meenu was born in Kahrka village and moved to Rataul after marriage. She completed her schooling at Nehru School Pilana, followed by a computer diploma in Tally, and later her B.A. from Chaudhary Charan Singh University. She taught for a year at a private school before joining Salma - the journey there was too long, so she was glad when Principal Sheeba Ma'am offered her a place closer to home.
At Salma, Meenu found what she had been looking for: a supportive staff, a caring leadership, and children she quickly grew fond of. "I have been here only a short while," she writes, "but my heart has settled among these children." She is particularly grateful to Sheeba Ma'am for looking at potential over paperwork.
