Sofia was born in 2005 in Rataul (Baghpat). Her father is a labourer and her mother a homemaker. She first studied at Salma Public School up to Class 3, then in Meerut until Class 7, before completing Class 8 through Class 12 at Sant Mary Inter College Rataul. She is currently in her second semester of B.A. at Chaudhary Charan Singh University.
Sofia had always dreamed of working in design - but circumstances led her to teaching, and she joined Salma in 2025. The experience, she says, has been full of learning - both professional and personal. She is particularly grateful to senior colleagues Shabnam Mahboob Ma'am, Shabnam Rahman Ma'am and Kashifa Ma'am for their generous support. She describes Nishat Ma'am and Zahoor Sir as her long-time favourites, and hopes their spirit continues to guide the school.
